This is Wild Child
A boutique children's play space, we offer signature daily classes, “wild play”, birthday parties and camps for the kiddos, in addition to specialized workshops, series and group classes for the family.
Designed to be functional, playful and spark creativity. The space and materials are inspired by the belief that a child’s environment is a teacher. We believe childhood should be full of magic and curiosity. We want to ignite your child's imagination, wonder and strength through play.
Our intention is to cultivate joy, peace, health and community. Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our promise is to keep the gym extraordinarily clean and fresh, using all-natural, non-toxic products and materials. As parents ourselves, we understand how important it is to keep our children and environment healthy. We adhere to the strictest sick policies and cleanliness standards. We are a shoe-free environment with a hand-washing station primed for each guest to use prior to class. We don’t cut corners and we pay special attention to the details. All decisions we make regarding what we teach, use, and offer here are made consciously and responsibly with sustainability in mind.
Wai and Allison are a husband and wife duo. Parents to two wildly adventurous, loving and sweet Hawaiian/Scottish baby boys, Baker + Makai.
We come from extraordinarily beautiful, yet distinctly different hometowns: Wai is from Honolulu, Hawaii and Alli is from Sedona, Arizona. Our backgrounds inspire what we do and how we do it. LA has been the perfect blending spot for us and the inspiration for Wild Child. This gym is the melting pot to fuse our expertise and connects us to what brings the most joy and reward in life…Family.
Wai (pronounced Vy) runs all gym components relating to kids and staff. He is basically our kid whisperer and the brainchild behind the programming. You will see him on the ground level: playing, coaching and carefully guiding every teeny-tiny step along the way. He is the secret sauce and grounding force for Wild Child.
He brings extensive knowledge and training in children’s development and fitness. Wai was also a collegiate all-star athlete, a professional TV sports anchor and coach for kids ages 2-18 (for basically every single seasonal sport imaginable).
Allison is a veteran fashion executive. She’s been a buyer for lovely brands such as Anthropologie, Sole Society, Lucky Brand, Guess and Disney. Her rich expertise in the fashion business includes curating unique product assortments, trend forecasting, design + retail.
Alli now brings all this passion to Wild Child, overseeing our design concept, buying for the shop + party planning for the gym.
When we became parents, we quickly discovered a white space in the market for a children’s gym like this. We dreamt of building a space that parents and kids equally enjoy. A space that offers a premium level of product, service and experience for all spectrums of early family life. A carefully curated one stop shop. Ultimately, a space that merges our two skillsets in a meaningful way.
We believe all parents share the common, highest goal for their children and we want to be a greater part of cultivating it. We aim to help build up our community through the power of aloha. We know It takes a village, we'd love to be part of yours.
